This is likely due to bone broth being an excellent source of essential proteins, amino acids, and other vital nutrients. What’s more, the nutrients in bone broth are highly absorbable. The nutrient profile of bone broth includes:

  • Collagen

  • Arginine

  • Glycine

  • Glutamine

It’s important to note that store-bought “stock” and “broth” isn’t the same thing as bone broth; furthermore, they often include MSG, which is a neurotoxin. Some health food stores and farms offer authentic bone broth, the alternative being to make it yourself. Either way, be sure to choose grass-fed poultry or meat to get the full benefits without pesticides, hormones, or other potentially harmful chemicals.

Easy Bone Broth Recipe

The simplest way to make bone broth is to save grass-fed bones from other meals. You may also get the bones and carcasses from your local butcher.

  • 1 oz apple cider vinegar

  • 3-4 lbs bones and tissues

Instructions

  1. Mix the ingredients together in a large pot or slow cooker and bring to a boil

  3. Strain through a cheesecloth and pour into smaller containers for storage

  4. Add salt, vegetables, and spices to taste
