Vegan Alfredo Sauce Recipe


  • 1/2 c. plain unsweetened unflavored cashew milk

  • 1 T. Instant Tapioca

  • 1 T. Nutritional Yeast

  • 1 t. fresh minced garlic

  • 1/2 t. any oil, I used safflower oil

  • 1/4 t. salt

  • 1/4 t. onion powder

  • additional 1/4 c. cashew milk


  1. In a small saucepan, heat 1/2 c. plain cashew milk and add 1 T. instant tapioca.

  2. Bring to a boil, stirring tapioca, and let sauce boil for several minutes.

  3. Remove from heat, let cool down.

  4. Add additional 1/4 c. cashew milk, then add Nutritional Yeast, minced garlic, onion powder,

  5. oil and salt.

  6. Stir that into the tapioca mixture.

  7. Enjoy over gluten free pasta or vegetables.

  8. Pictured is gluten free elbow shells with English peas and a thinly sliced kale leaf. It was so good I ate it with a spoon!
